By now, if you are a fan of The Office, you know that Steve Carrell is prepared to pack up his World’s Best Boss mug and peace out at the end of next season.

Co-star and coexecutive producer Mindy Kaling has a few ideas on who will be taking over as boss once Steve takes his final bow and considering her position, we think she might get her way.

That’s our way of telling you this might be SPOILER-ish. Nothing is confirmed, but it might actually happen. Proceed with caution.

So Mindy sees the perfect replacement for Steve in…Rainn Wilson! She explains:

“I’d love to see Rainn Wilson in that position. Dwight has become so nuanced — you actually care about him now. I think if [we did a good job laying the groundwork] this coming season, he would be a fantastic boss. But that’s my dream. It certainly hasn’t been approved by people that are more powerful than me and who make those kinds of decisions.”

But the “promote from within” idea is only a back-up to her ultimate dream - Steve staying put!

Like everyone else, Mindy is hoping he’ll change his mind and want to stay with the show a bit longer:

“We’re still infatuated with Steve and love him so much that we’re hoping for some 11th hour like, ‘I really do like this schedule and I like craft services here, so I don’t want to go.’ But I’m going to take him at face value and [assume] he’s not being coy and that he really wants to [leave].”

The time has come. He knows it and we don’t blame him.

Exciting…and creepy.

Kick-Ass actor Aaron Johnson has reportedly just had a baby girl with his wife fiancee Sam Taylor-Wood.

The 43-year-old filmmaker gave birth to her 20-year-old lovers child yesterday and named her Wylda Rae.

Poor Wylda is going to have a lot of trouble in school explaining why her older brother is making out with her mom (or her dad with her grandma, however you want to look at it!)

Drake’s upcoming Central Park concert, originally planned for July 16th as part of the Good Morning America concert series, has been canceled because city officials claim that they were unable to provide the amount security needed by the police!

If you recall, essentially the same thing happened for his proposed June 10th concert at South Street Seaport after 25,000 fans showed up!

Sources claim that Lindsay is already looking ahead to the her future past the time she spends locked up in jail. Supposedly, she is already shopping her post-pokey interview around to the highest bidder, but she allegedly will accept nothing less than $1 million for her story.

That’s more than she made on Herbie, Bobby and that slasher stripper movie combined! Smart girl!

Of course, paid interviews, as we all know, it’s exactly all good here in the USA. You might say it’s rather “taboo.” Still, if LiLo can produce some “personal material” (photos, home movies, poems written on the jail cell walls), then the network could pay her in “licensing” fees.

A judge in Boston made two important rulings today concerning same-sex marriage. Two cases were brought to his attention concerning Section 3 of DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act.

This particular section of the act limits the definition of marriage to apply only to heterosexual couples and excludes homosexual ones from federal benefits. After hearing both sides ruthlessly argue, the judge deemed the act “unconstitutional.” In both cases, the judge ruled that DOMA failed to “meet even the most simple judicial review, rational basis — in other words, there was no justifiable reason to the federal government to treat same-sex couples.”

Bravo! Well said!

Of course, that isn’t the end of either case. Now, they will be taken to the U.S. Court of Appeals, where not only will each case be reviewed, but also whether their is a “legitimate need” for DOMA in the state!

Amazing! A solid victory for equal rights!
